I make wine as a hobby, and have some barreled right now. I just started making kombucha in a separate area, but need to move it into the place I have the wine barreled. Am hoping the two processes won't cause problems with each other. Does anyone have any advice about this? Thanks so much...

Re: Kombucha and wine happy roommates?
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 2:19 PMIt has never caused me a problem. I had to do that when I moved to a new house.
Just keep everything clean and don't bow your nose into the solutions! :)

Re: Kombucha and wine happy roommates?
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 3:13 PMI had trouble making vinegar next to a vat of EM (effective microorganisms.) The vinegar never soured but after about a month it went rotten, something I didn't think it could do. The "vinegar" was just left over wine from several bottles that I put in a cloth covered jar. I'd never had trouble getting good vinegar this way any other time.
Not quite the same thing, but take a little care.
