Traveling with Scoby

I am relocating to North Carolina in two weeks and I'm not sure how to bring my Kombucha scoby with me. I will be flying - and I'm assuming I can't bring her with me on the plane because of the liquid restrictions. Any suggestions? Can I ship her?

    A heat sealed plastic bag with 2 cups of a finished brew will work fine (finished brew is to ensure it doesn't ferment further in the bag and expand/burst it). Make sure there's no air in the bag with the culture and liquid. And then put it into another heat sealed bag with some air in for cushioning. If you don't have a sealer, just use two good, strong ziplocs.
