I love drinking kombucha so much, but recently I've gotten the "drunk" feeling mentioned in awhile back. However, my "drunk" feeling is an allergy/sickly feeling- hot itchy, hivey face, raised heart rate, and dizziness (for a few hours). I have had no problems in the past drinking G.T.'s Synergy brand, but the past few bottles have made me a little sick. Does this mean I have to stop drinking it or that the batch I'm drinking from is tainted?

Re: Is Kombucha harmful to those allergic to alcohol?
Mon, July 20, 2009 - 10:28 AMwell, i would say that there is more alchohol in some kombucha than others. so if your alergic to alchohol than i would be carefull! but what you descrobed sounded more like the affects of alchohol than an allergic reaction.
maybe your body doesnt like the raw culture, too many exta enzimes all at once changing the body chemistry.
