  Yeah, cutting it is fine-- it's not one "thing", it's made up of many tiny cultures. It'll replicate when cut.

    I've even thrown the whole thing in the blender and it still worked fine to make a new batch!!

  Oh yeah, you can cut it. You can cut it into many, many small pieces. In fact, my Kombucha will form a new Scoby when there is no Scoby visible in the tea!

  Thanks for the replies. I just finished the first batch with my new SCOBY. i flavored a couple with pineapple juice and a couple with kiwi juice (fresh squeezed of course!) :b
