I'm just starting my first batch and would like to add some different flavors. I was thinking about ginger or lemon, has anybody tried either? How much of each should I put in each GT bottle? Thanks

Re: Different Flavors????
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 12:01 PMGinger is great. I grate a big chunk of it into a large glass container- a couple tablespoons grated, I guess, pour in the batch of kombucha, then strain it into my individual bottles. Never measured how much, sorry. Also have added a splash of raspberry juice. -

Re: Different Flavors????
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 6:00 PMI've put sweetened dried cranberries into my kombucha after bottling, and that's turned out nicely. crystallized ginger is tasty as well. both of those provide more sugar to produce carbonation if you leave it at room temp to ferment more.
